Comet
May 9, 1980 - June 1, 2010
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we share the
news of the passing of our beloved Arabian gelding,
Comet.

We bought Comet on a whim in 1991 from Verne Upmier.
He was high-spirited and taught us the invaluable lesson of
lightness.  The lighter you handled and rode Comet the
better.

He was a wonderful lesson horse and taught countless
children how to ride in a light, classical manner.

We will always remember him.  (

El Corazon
"Cory"
February 11, 1983 - March 1, 2010
On March 1, 2010, our Thoroughbred stallion, El Corazon, "Cory", was
laid to rest.

Cory was born in 1983 and had a short, but successful career on the
race track.  Since that time Cory was used as breeding stallion.

He was out of Dan's Dream and by Raja Baba.  Dan's Dream produced
15 foals and 12 were stakes winners, including Cory.  Cory's pedigree
included horses that were successful in America and Europe in flat
racing and steeplechases.

Cory had a strong resemblance to his great-great grandfather, Man
O'War.  His look, personality, and heart were strong like Man O'War.  In
Spanish, El Corazon means "Strong Heart."  Cory's heart was stronger
than any horse we have ever known.

Cory had a supreme attitude and was a pleasure to work with.  He
produced athletic and talented foals suitable for racing, dressage and
eventing.

His last days were filled with comfort, support, and love.  He will be
greatly missed and will be forever remembered as the greatest horse
we may ever own.

He now belongs to the ages.
